En améliorant la vie dans le sol, l'agriculture régénératrice nous offrants des aliments riches et sains. Elle fait le lien entre la vie dans le sol, la santé des plantes, celle des animaux et notre santé.

Pour qu'un sol soit en bonne santé, il faut qu'il soit bouillonnant de vie. C'est comparable au microbiote de nos intestins. Celui de la terre et le nôtre sont reliés par les plantes et les animaux. Si le sujet vous intéresse, je vous conseille le livre passionnant "Une seule santé" de Pierre Weill (Actes Sud). Il explique comment des nutriments essentiels (oméga 3) passent des plantes aux animaux et de animaux à l'être humain - au lait maternel... et au bébé, avec tous les effets bénéfiques qui s'en suivent.​​
Le goût
L'agriculture régénératrice est source de gastronomie. La densité en nutriments des fruits et des légumes augmentent leur goût. Les aliments d'origine animale n'ont pas le même goût ni la même tendreté si les animaux ont passé leur vie en pâturage diversifié.

La Biodiversité
L'agriculture régénératrice joue un rôle clef dans la biodiversité. Afin de recréer la plus grande diversité de vie dans le sol, l'agriculteur :

remplace la monoculture par une variété de cultures;

en plus des culture, il plantes des arbres et arbustres qui ont pour seul objectif d'enrichir la terre;

sème des couverts végétaux qui comprennent 7, 10 ou plus variétés de plantes;
-
intègre les animaux (moutons, vaches, porcs, poules, ...) au sein des cultures;
C'est d'abord la diversité des plantes qui augmente, mais ensuite celle des insectes, des oiseaux et des animaux sauvages.​​
Le climat
En plantant des arbres et en semant des couverts végétaux, l'agriculture régénératrice a plusieurs impacts sur le climat :

maintenir une température plus basse en été;

stocker du CO2 dans le sol;

permettre à l'eau de pluie de s'infiltrer dans le sol et réduire ainsi l'érosion;

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What exactly will I receive?
4.5 liters of certified organic extra virgin olive oil. Packaged in 50cl or 75cl bottles depending on stock.
When will I receive my olive oil?
Depending on the weather, bottling takes place between mid-January and mid-February. Your oil will be delivered to your home between January 20th and February 25th.
How long is my adoption?
Adoption is automatically renewed at the end of each season. You can pause for a season or end the adoption, as long as the oil has not yet been bottled.
What are the costs associated with adoption?
The amount of €72 is intended to cover tree pruning, seeding of the cover crop, rainwater management, olive harvesting, oil pressing, as well as delivery costs.
How can I give an adoption as a gift?
Email us at frederic.lodewyk@foodfamilyfarmers.com with the recipient's contact information. You can personalize your gift with a message and the date you'd like the recipient to receive their gift. The recipient will receive an email with a photo of the tree and delivery information for their olive oil.
